If a caveman recently purchased the new Apple iPhone 4 and was tired of all the new reception issues, what would he do? Fix it with duct tape of course.  It seems like you would never want to have duct tape touch your sleek new Apple iPhone but apparently  according to a Consumer Reports controlled test, covering the side bottom left of the phone can fix the reception issues.   As if AT&T didn’t drop enough calls, now iPhone customers have to deal with a whole new set of reception issues.  Hopefully Apple will choose a real provider in February and hop on Verizon’s network.

  1. I acquired the iphone 4 the afternoon that it became available and I’ve become greatly disappointed by the lack of reception at times. After observing that the Consumer Reports web page advised introducing duct tape to the location around the attenna I tried that and it seems to have improved to some extent but I have high hopes they do a recall at some stage here as soon as they come up with how to correct this bothersome issue.

  2. So far, no recall but I have to admit the free bumper that apple provided to remedy this issue looks pretty cool.
