I recommend not using a blow dryer to dry off a laptop. Blow dryers get very hot and can damage your computer. I recommend opening the laptop up, taking it apart and drying it thoroughly for a few days. If you are not comfortable taking apart a laptop, have a laptop repair company do it. The damage does not happen when the laptop gets wet, the damage occurs when the current from the battery short circuits due to the water which can really put you out a couple hundred dollars. Make sure the laptop is absolutely dry before turning it back on.

The window is very small after water has been spilled so the battery needs to be disconnected within seconds. Don’t even worry about going through the menus to properly shut the computer off. Power it down as fast as possible.
